Sunday morning and all is well so will get off to church to start my day and then not sure what to do. I have been fighting fatigue and some depression so might try to overcome that and pick up winter fallen tree branches. Had to start my chase on all the starlings again last night as they are returning. All is well and I opened the windows last night and turned on fans to cool the house off. I slept really well. Saturday Morning and it is a sad day as my little niece, Teresa, passed to be with the Lord yesterday. Sad she is not here with us anymore but rejoicing that she is now with the Lord and no more suffering she will see. Our Frisky run is over for today and the radio is warming up for the ARMS net. Then maybe look at the Van to see if any transmission wires are bad to fix the shift problem. Sun is out full and it is 57 deg already so will be a nice day. Finished the ARMS net so now a short break and then will crawl under the van to see if I can find a shift problem before having to go to the shop for taking it apart for solenoid replacement. 91 Degrees out so it is very warm and was a problem getting under the van with all the heat. It threw these codes; p0125, p0743, p0750, p0755, p1747. Now what does all that mean. What it means is it is for someone smarter than I or off to the shop. At 91 degrees it is to hot to work out in that anyhow. we got up to 93 degrees and I ran the air some but it is off and the windows open, just 74 now. Nit Nite

Friday morning and I am off to see my little Crystal. Getting some posted again and trying to keep up. My sister Elaine called and informed me my little Niece Teresa passed to be with my Jesus today so that is sad and hard to handle. I also found out Chuck Norris passed today, he was my age I believe 84 years old. We had a good visit with Crystal and Tammy and Brad were there also. We had a good lunch at I-Hop and played some cards and then Brad and I left to come home at 3:30. Todd's Exhaust got the Traverse fixed today I believe and changed the oil so it should be good for a time now again. I just had a snack supper and am sort of tired so just writing some here on the journal and then off to bed.

Thursday morning and all is well. Its a bright and sunny day at 43 degrees already. I am getting set up for the ARMS net and then Brad and I will have our bible study. ARMS net over and now on to our study. We ended up getting some broasted chicken and had our bible study at a picnic table at Swan Lake. What a beautiful day it is at 75 degrees now. I will be going to visit Crystal tomorrow in Sioux City and Brad is going along with me. Should be another fun day. Elaine has told me they have removed all support from Teresa and just leave a few meds for comfort. She said Teresa told her she was ready for all to be done. Praying this is easy for her and all concerned. God's will be done.

As you can see by the last post I did not get the whole week in as I went to Cedar Rapids to be with my sister, Elaine, as her daughter Teresa was in the hospital and not doing well. I am doing catch up now as I already missed Monday as that was the day I came home and yesterday as I was beat and just goofed all day. I have not heard today's end report but the tube has been removed from Teresa and they are monitoring how well she is doing on her own. Keep praying for God's will to be done with our will for a healthy recovery. 68 Degree now out and most all snow is gone and was outside with some coffee. I cleared some ice by the patio door so it is safe to go out there now. Struggled through the day and now bedtime. Nite Nite.

Wednesday has arrived and I am coming down off the Chemo stuff and really tired but feeling well. Checked in ARMS early and then checked out the Coleman oven and stove. It took a bit to remember how to do it but got it figured out and the oven can get to 350, which is where I need it for a small roast at around 45 minutes. I made some calls on the Dodge Fluid drive repairs, and the place in Clive may be able to take care of it for me. Slept a lot today and now have fired all the Coleman stove and oven up and roast is in the oven. We will see how it comes out.
As you can see the oven heats to 350 Degrees so I put the roast in and it is now cooking. Hope it is good. Roast done and good so all is well. off to bed after some TV. Nite nite.

Well it is 12:37 AM Tuesday and I am still wound up from the steroids on the partial Chemo yesterday. My blood pressure is up some from them and my pulse is running in the 90's. These highs are not any fun plus the coming off them are also a big pain. I tore my arms all up putting the headlights back in operation on the traverse, so, so much for the low blood platelets and a big bleeding problem, as they clotted right up and stopped bleeding right away. It is 42 Degrees out yet so still warm. Guess I better try to get some sleep. Nite Nite. Well I slept about 2 Hrs and that was it. Had some breakfast and our Frisky run and then ran to town to renew my driver license and get some groceries. The dodge is in the shop and getting the new tank so I did some work on the fuel pump while there. Got groceries and came home to check in the ARMS net. Watched some TV after some lunch but napped about 1 hour through Bonanza. Now waiting on the call the Dodge is done. I am working on a roast for tonight or tomorrow for cooking in my Coleman oven on the Coleman stove. I need to test it for when I can camp out.

Monday morning and off to some Chemo infusion treatments. Its a little windy but at 45 degrees that is not so bad. Tammy stopped to get some tea so she will be here in a bit. Oh my so much for a full treatment as my platelets were low and they didn't want to make that worse so just a partial chemo infusion and out by 11:00. Tammy brad Sarah and I all went to eat for Mexican for a very long lunch. Then to New hope thrift shopping. Then Brad had to leave so Tammy Sarah and I went home to find the last tank parts for my dodge were there so I called and they can get it in tomorrow to install. We went outside on patio for good visit and I threw the ball for Frisky. Then Tammy had to start home so I drove the Dodge in town for the install tomorrow and Sarah followed me in and gave me a ride home. We played a very close game of dice and Sarah had to get home to make food stuff for her church so I goofed on computer, made supper and Frisky and I set out for a nice sunset. Still very wound up at 11:00 PM but will call it a night. What a Day!!

Saturday morning and I slept very well last night and feel fine today. It is a chilly day today with lots of rain yesterday and some freezing rain today but it is warming up so that will melt fast. The pond has water all around the island again. I made it up for the arms net and shared different today, I read the Hymn "Onward Christian Soldiers". That was fun. Still waiting on the tank straps and things to finish the tank assembly on my Dodge. I am excited. Warm weather is coming and I want it out to ride around. I know I know, don't rush! Matt is off at a ham fest and having fun, so I asked him to keep his eyes open for a Swan 260 Cygnet transceiver or a Swan 350D transceiver. Those may interest me. He called and found some swans but I already have them.

Friday morning and I am getting ready to go see my little bug. It is 8 AM and I am on the road in a very rainy day with wind. About half way there the rain let up some and the wind died down. Frisky and I listened to some 80s music and we arrived there about 10:30. We went to I-Hop for a breakfast lunch and then to a thrift store. After that we went back to Crystals room and played some cards and dice and had a good visit. I left a little after 3 to head home and arrived home a little after 5. It was a full day but fun and all went well.

Thursday has arrived and I am NCS control for ARMS today so I will start with a bang. Still feeling kind of tired but hope it all goes well. I need to get past this to go see my Crystal tomorrow. Got my cereal finished and the Frisky run done and laid back down to see if I could catch up. Radio up and going along with computer now for ARMS. Net is over so onward we march. Got all my vehicles licensed today and now need the camper license. Now I need to renew my driver license also.

Wednesday and I am off for the groomer for Frisky at 9:30. Busy week so far. The clean sheets and blanket slept very restful. I will do a quick verse on ARMS and then off to the groomer. I got the garbage out first as today is garbage day. Groomer is done and checking in ARMS again and then off to town for more stuff. Feeling well and all seems well, God is good. Coffee and soft boiled eggs done so moving on. I took a little side trip there to do the dishes and have some lunch. Also took a short nap with Frisky. And my day lumbers on. Off we go into the wild blue yonder. Town chores are done and I may be coming down off the Chemo steroids as I feel sort of fatigued. Maybe another nap needed. A nap was completed and I still am tired, I forgot how it was with the steroid after the 3 week break. I still don't like that. Doing some Liver, potatoes and salad for supper so that may be a help for some energy. Hope it is all over for a trip to see Crystal on Friday. Nite Nite, I am exhausted.

Tuesday morning and all is well. What a day yesterday but good results from readings and all. What sleep I got was good but steroids kept me hyper mostly so I did some washing and stuff. Texts are finished for the group and all so now finish some washing and a frisky run. Then on with a busy day. First I ran the old Dodge out for a run and I believe if I get the carb clean and the engine running right the Transmission will be ok. Then on to the washing. Much of the washing done, and a town trip done, with bills paid, and a sister day call to them to interrupt there visit. My Bad. Doing defrag on the computer so my day has been on the move a lot. Getting things to Tammy for our creation trip T-shirt for the trip so that can be set up and done. That time is coming fast. Well here it is 9 o'clock and still doing washing. Clean sheets and bedding tonight. I have a love/hate relationship with the fitted sheets. You cant fold them to store and you cant get them on the bed very easy. Once there all is well. Oh well Nite Nite!

Here we go on a Monday morning again. Maybe I can do better at my journaling this week. Up and ready for my Cancer doctor appointment at 9 and that is the plan for today. May see about writing some there if the kids don't come. 26 degrees out now and time for our Frisky run, then getting ready for the doctor visit. Here I am with my infusion therapy and all my scan and blood work was really good so we can do this again. The sky is overcast and sort of dreary but it is very bright looking out the window. I have moved my phone to the dark mode so I can see it better in all the light. That really helps. The filler pipe and things for the Dodge gas tank came today so now just waiting on the tank straps and those things to get here. Kind of up tonight with the steroid, but feeling kind of tired. Well it is Sunday and I did not write much this week. It has been a busy week with the CT scan and car stuff and other things but missed writing some each day. Ben and Tammy came Saturday to spend the weekend and Brad, Heather, and Sarah came Saturday night for a visit so that was fun. all the kids are gone now and the house is still and quiet and missing them all here. Have a great week and will try to write better next week.

Thursday and have missed several days for my postings. What's wrong with me? My mind has been on other non-essential stuff. I have the ARMS net up and running and now will get that running. Net over and on to some bills and Papa's Lew's Creation crew trip stuff and some lunch with Gunsmoke. Took a short nap with Bonanza and then watched Rifleman and did shave for the concert tonight and the CT scan/blood work tomorrow. The day is passing by and guess I will head out for some coffee on the patio after putting batteries in my weather station. Batteries changed and now my first spring cup of coffee on the patio. Coffee done and town run over, cleaned up and now back to Middle school to see my little Roo in concert.

Its Sunday morning and once again here is Lew. Let me know if you are reading these or am I just wasting my time. It is chilly and windy here and I am getting ready for church. I am not sure what's on the agenda for today but Tammy is coming for an overnight visit so I am excited for that. The ink and printer parts are on the way and so is the new gas tank for the Dodge. Saturday morning and all is well on the Swan pond here in western Iowa. Made it to Men's Table talk this morning and had a great fellowship. Now on the radio with the ARMS group and then on with my day. I am anxious to get the new Gas tank for the Dodge to continue on with the rest of the needed work.

Friday morning and all covered in snow but not where shoveling is needed. What a blessing. A little shoveled by back door on patio to get Frisky out but that is it. Road is open and so is drive. Yay! ARMS net over so on with my day. Got all the shoveling needed done and sun shining on the snow is amazing.

What a day. it started with a bang and then picked up. Arms net and the to town with some Devotion printing to post at church. Checked a on a carb rebuild kit and NAPA has one but it is very pricey, maybe be cheaper at Rock Auto. Checked on a new gas tank and found one at Mopar Pro, vintage American parts company. Cannot locate a new Carb so may see if Ben will rebuild this one. Lots of running around but lots done.

Well as you can see the 17th slipped by with no posting. It was a hectic day but lots done so no need to go over it all. Got the dodge home now but still needs work. oh bother. It is so much better but will need a gas tank cleaning or such as there is some rust getting to the carb among some small stuff. May need a clutch also. Oh well here we go. Ash Wednesday today and now 40 days for the last earthly journey for our Savior. I tried to order some printer ink yesterday but the Epson site was really dumb and did not work. The office stop ordered some for me till I can figure out what's up there. Radio is warmed up and ARMS net is next for today, then town run for a fuel filter and stuff. ARMS net over so on with my day.

It is Monday and the start of another week. All is well and feeling well. Much was accomplished today. First a town run for some groceries and to mail a package, but I forgot presidents day and no post office. Then checked on the Dodge and some progress there. Then I ordered a Coleman oven for my camp stove to use with my Van and camper. It is a really neat oven. Then ARMS net and more printing for Lent devotions.

Saturday morning and all is well and feeling good yet. Had our Frisky run and did the ARMS net. Worked on printing our Lent devotions for church and then delivered to church for pickup. Did not print a large amount like usual so will print more as needed. Frisky and I had a little nap so my day marches on. I am having no luck looking for the 1956 olds vista cruiser hub caps I want. they are the three bar with the white center and the world around the white. I want 2 for the front of the Old dodge but all I find have too much damage or are after market not quite the same. Well printing for today is done and some at church. Supper over and now just goof off and bed. Nite Nite.

Friday and all is well. Going to see Crystal today if it all works out for that. Had my vitamin and breakfast is over so now my Frisky run. Got through the run, and checked into the ARMS net. Then at 9:30 took off to visit Crystal. Stopped at Perkins for some lunch and arrived at Crystals at 12:20. We met the owners and then had a good visit along with some card games and listened to some music. I headed home about 3:30. Now here it is 11:30 PM and I still am not asleep so my WBC must be back to better as I am not fatigued. We will see tomorrow how I do. Nite Nite!

As you can see not much written yesterday. Was a bit under the weather but getting my steam back today. I have changed some drive letters on my external hard drives as my CDO wanted that. Hee Hee. They need to be in some order after all. I was able to get the external drive running again that lost the directory paths so now have 4 drives again after buying the two new ones. If any Techno whiz's read this maybe tell me in there format for USB external drives is it better to do NFTS or exFat format? They are used on my Windows 7 computer as USB external storage devices. ARMS net is over so on with the rest of my day.

Tuesday Morning and all is well. ARMS net is on and I am having my coffee and soft boiled egg. Trying to do many foods good for helping the WBC get back up where it should be. Chemo took it to low the last treatment and was not eating the best to keep it up enough for another treatment. Have been eating better yesterday and this morning and I feel some better I believe. I was really fatigued, depressed and wore out but feel much better now. I have some bills to figure out and a bible study at 3 today. Bible study over, picked up some groceries including some liver to help my white blood count. Busy day and I feel much better tonight, so eating better is helping really quickly.

Its Monday and my day for infusion therapy and Tammy is here with me so that is nice. Will drop off the Dodge at Todd's today for him to finish his work and start some more needed things. Someone had really let some the maintenance slip but we are gaining on it. Maybe they just did not know how to work on the old stuff. Any way I am headed out for the infusion treatment shortly. I slept well and I have the T-shirt design done so That is good.
That is the picture of what it will look like.
Now if everyone likes it, it will be just the words and such but no white background like what shows up in the photo. The T-shirt color will be either Cream or light Royal blue. Well I better get moving for the infusion. So much for the infusion today my white blood count was down from the chemo so the doctor cancelled today and will go next on 2 March after the CT scan on the 27th. I will do some vitamins till it is back up and do fish, oysters, liver and such to help my body build it back up.

Good Sunday morning all, time for church and then on with the day. Tammy will be here tonight and go to my Infusion Therapy tomorrow, so we may have to rotate as they only want two people there at a time. If she can stay till about 3 on Monday I will take the Dodge and she can run me home from Todd's Exhaust when I drop it off. Breakfast is over and it is Frisky time and then off to church. It is Saturday and getting better. Really busy day today and feeling some better. ARMS net and some work on the dodge, then a visit to Brads and more dodge work. Like Ben said it has to be carb or gas problem it seems. Centrifugal advance is working like it says, Vacuum the same like it says with 20 in. of vacuum which is normal and both function together. Mechanical takes the advance so far and the vacuum goes farther under load to around 15-20 degrees advance when working. Then some downtime and supper to follow with some TV time and about ready for Bed. I hope someone is reading this and I am not wasting my time here.

Friday Morning and all is well. Not sure what today will bring but I am ready for the day. Breakfast is done and Frisky run is next. Setting here typing this it sounds like the wind is howling so the Frisky run, may not be fun. Ya Ya my feet show it. The computer is going well, Knock on wood, again so I am happy with that. External hard drives going again and finding lost stuff there. Life is good, God is great. Took the Dodge to town for milk and such and it is running some better. To see if it would help, last week I added a can of Heet for any water in the gas, full tank of 91 Octane gas, Some upper cylinder cleaner for sticky valves, some carb cleaner for the carb, and some sea foam to gas and oil. Like a major overhaul. We shall see. May need a Tachometer to see at what RPM it goes wonky. Finished my supper and watching TV I stumbled across Scorpion that mom and I just loved to watch. I watched a little but it was hard without her so turned it off and getting ready for bed. Nite Nite!

I am NCS for ARMS net today and then not sure what. Getting the radios warmed up for that and I have had my Breakfast. Now a Frisky run and then on the net. Wait it is dark out yet so did a small timing adjust on the dodge and it is better. May just need to play there some. Frisky run is over and just goofing off till 9 for the net. ARMS net is over and moving forward here. I have had lunch, watched Gunsmoke and now out to take the nativity down. Really nice out but breezy. Well the nativity is down and in the garage, except one brace that is frozen in and I cant get it out yet. Thank you all so much for the scene kids but it is to much for dad. I cant do it any more so one of you may have it back or not sure what to do with it, so sorry it is to much for me at this time. Going to rest now and watch Rifleman or nap. I found the calendar I thought I lost with the external hard drive but it was still there. It needed about 5 things changed and added and it is normal good to go again.

Well I was up very late last night working on the computer External drives and I have two new ones ands the old one is formatted and works but not sure I should count on it. May just throw it. I took the English muffin biscuits to church for a midweek meal and then off to Friskies grooming appointment. I gave the neighbors some of the muffins also and kept some for me. Then I was rather tired so took a good nap with Frisky. I set the timing on the Dodge some more but need to do the vacuum advance hose to adjust it easier. I just made a discovery that one of my USB ports is bad and that was the problem maybe in combination with one external drive was going bad. The newer one we copied to that I have reformatted now seems to work just fine. If so I will have three external drives. Three times the problems. Finished some supper and TV so now off to bed.
Tuesday 3 February
Tuesday is here and slept well but not long, about 5 hours and then up and playing computer and such. Then off to town for some Dodge Cleaner additives and a full tank of 91 octane gas and lead additive, Groceries, and then picked up the external hard drive. I can make it work but it is a challenge. I will get two new ones that are not mechanical and then start with them for the duration so if one goes goofy I will lose about a month. I will figure that out as time goes by. Doing some washing now and then maybe back to town to get some new drives.

Well we are back on track with journal and car. Today was a day of chemo infusion therapy and it went well. The doctor was there and said we could stop the infusion but I said lets see what the next scan and cancer marker shows and if the marker is still going down we can continue for a while till the marker stops or whatever. Ya my bad! I can get the external hard drive tomorrow and then see how to proceed. It was a along day so just goofed off and napped. Supper, a snuggle with frisky watching TV and then off to bed. My life is so exciting.

Well if you are seeing this my external hard drive crashed on Thursday and I lost all my journals. It is at the computer doctor now to see if it can be recovered or saved and I sure pray it can. If not there will 20+ years of information, pictures, and things lost but I will just move ahead and if they can it will be back on track next week. At least the Dodge is up and running better than ever, Thanks to Ben for getting it all going again. How sweet it will be to hit the road in it. Went to bed at 9:50 and can not sleep as I am to excited about the Dodge and depressed I may have lost the hard drive. The Lord has blessed me with so much I am very thankful for it all. I stream church service today so that is a good thing, We ate out at Pizza Ranch last night to celebrate the progress on the Dodge and that was fun. Guess what, as I stumbled around the C Drive on the computer to see if I could find any of the old files like the external drive, I found all of mom's old web pages she made and all in html files. Very excited to see and hard to read at the same time. As I am able to I may see if I can make a spot to post them at my site for memory sake. Many links and things may not work but I praise God that I found them and can read and see them. Almost 11:00 so better get to bed and struggle to sleep.
29 January
Thursday morning and I just woke up but did not get up right away. Just lay there thinking of the day and starting things slow. It worked well and felt sort of good for a change. When up I just did the normal stuff and did the Frisky run and then the NCS for ARMS net. I repotted my Poinsettia but I broke off one large stem in doing it so I hope it is ok, but I probably killed that plant now also. I did some work on the dodge but I cannot figure that out yet. My mind just don't seem to get it anymore. Maybe more prayers will help me some. I need help Ben. I have the Laptop up now running on battery and it works well.
28 January
Wednesday is here and I helped with the ARMS net today as people are not hearing all stations well. Did a lot of relays. Then off to Brads for our bible study. I looked for a timing light on the way and oh my are they pricey, may try and fix one of the old ones. I did get a new remote start switch as mine is not working the best. Watched some videos at Brads on my bible reading of Psalm 128 so that was exciting. Then home and just goofed off. The computer battery came for the laptop so it is portable again and working well. I will keep it plugged in a couple days to ensure the charge is at full.
27 January
I picked up the screw I lost for the choke on the dodge and got that installed so got That done. Checked in the ARMS net with my verse for the day and got the dishes done. Did lots of naps waiting for this cold weather to quit and picked up the things to repot my poinsettia.
26 January
Monday, Monday, no infusion therapy today. Fighting some depression so that is my therapy battle for now. That and getting the old Dodge running. It was a slow day and not much done.
25 January
Sunday Morning and all is well. I have been struggling this week and feeling lonely, missing mom, and things not working for me. I did get the computer running well and got the wiring back on the dodge but now it wont run so not sure what to do now. May need to buy a timing light so I can get in the right ball park. Need to step back some for a break. I will watch church from home I believe this Sunday as I feel rather poopy.
24 January
Saturday morning and still chilly but the bitterness is past for now. I am on the ARMS net but conditions are rather poor for radio work. Net over so onward and upward, to other stuff. Ok other stuff not going well and I and struggling with daily things. Depression trying to get a hold on me so I wiill fight that with the Lords leading hands. Not sure what it is but it is. Not having any luck on the Dodge and now wont start again. I has spark and gas but maybe the timing is out, I am lost. I may need to step away from all this and just recalibrate. Prayers needed. The weather has warmed up some and it now 4 deg but actual and wind chill so that is nice. Warm enough that the weather station is operating again. the temp flops between -4 and 4 so it is close. My browser, Fire Fox was not letting me do stuff like it used to so I have uninstalled it and then reinstalled and updated and now it is going well again.
23 January
Very chilly Friday here at -20 deg with bitter wind chills. Made a fast run to town for some milk and for items and picked up all the parts for the Dodge. And they all fit right, Yay. May work on them some but the garage is very chilly, even with the heater going. The more I see I am amazed the old girl would Even run, but we will see, maybe I am messing it all up. The completed plug wires would not work so am putting the build yourself ones on. I have the wire harness completed and its going back together now. Time for bed and today was long, cold, and busy. Not all done with the wiring but I am tired. Nite Nite.
22 January
As you can see I missed a couple days but all is well. Some parts I ordered for the Dodge were the wrong ones so had to reorder them and hope they are good. They will be here tomorrow. Also I have found the timing marks for it and should be in good shape when all together as I can do TDC without the light and get going then time correctly when it is running again. Unless I am lucky and get it right there by chance. I have worked more on the web and have added some Grandkids files from 2011,2012, 2013. They are similar in sayings with some difference but with the pictures from those years. I also added the Photo Album link to the first page so you can get them without going in two pages to get there. It warmed up enough for my weather station to work again and it is 16.2 deg out and chill is 0 deg. Tomorrow and Saturday will be a mess.

Monday, Monday, Good morning all. The new Year has started and all is well with me. I have some infusion therapy today so my day will be all at the cancer center. Lewzplace is all up and running and all the links are going again unless I missed one so will now be trying to keep my journal up to date. If you see a link not working let me know. Still very cold and windy so normal winter is back.

Well here I go again on the Sunday journal. I hope to do better. This a late start for the new year but it is up and running. I have been very busy with the web site as Go-Daddy changed there hosting from windows to C-Panel and that was a mess, so I had to reload everything for that as they could not use what I already had there they said. Go Figure. So then many links and stuff did not work so it was a big task just to get it all going again. It is all up and running now and all links works unless I have missed one somehow. Let me know if you find some. I have been working on the old Dodge some and it is running some better but still cant get the brake drum on the right rear off. This last year and a half has been a real challenge for me but I am getting the help from God to see me through. The good news is the Chemo infusion therapy has got rid of the cancer for now so I pray it is for good. Little Crystal is home from prison so that is also a great thing. So many positives in my life! The new year has started so it will be a great year and I will hopefully do better with the journal and my life. God is in control so lets here his word and step up. I went to the viewing for Bradley Christie's Grandmother today in Schleswig as I will be at infusion therapy tomorrow and cant make the funeral.
