Well it looks like I will try and catch up and keep the journal going even if nobody reads it at this time. Maybe it will mean something in the years to come. I have not been into it much lately for some reason but mom wants me to write more so will try. Have been real busy at church since the beginning of the year as I have joined the Evangelism board for the work needed there. Have been working on the audio and video recordings for the TV playing and have that set now so you can get it on the TV without turning the volume wide open. Need to get the one for the Web page set as it is so loud you have to turn it next to off. Also have been trying to enlist board members for the Evangelism board. It seems I always bite of more than I can chew but will keep trying. Mom and I both have not been doing the best for the start of the year and not sure why we just seem to be wore out and tired a lot. Maybe some depression has a hold of us or maybe it is the long winter even if the weather has not been terrible. Not like the poor people out east. We have some small ducks and a couple of Canadian geese checking out the pond since it is still pretty full of water so that is fun to see. If we get our spring rains we may keep the water there and it will be a real pond/wetland/habitat. Just fired up the radio for the ARMS net and hope the band is better today as it has been dead.

January

Not much written for the first few days in January but will try and do better now. Decided to run for chairman for the evangelism board and started with some ideas for Pastor and our family life and youth director. They did not seem on board and say we need to progress slowly. Sure am getting tired of hearing that with all good talk. Seems we can talk the talk but not walk the walk. Not giving up so will keep on keeping on till I am told to quit and then will move on to where I am needed. Snow really came down on Monday and we got about 4 inches I would guess but will see as it is still coming. Checked in the ARMS net but conditions were not very good so just gave my verse and then went to town to pay some bills and other stuff. Mom is some better today and is up for awhile so that is a plus and pray she is on the mend. Mom is sleeping much but improving and was up late Tuesday and then slept in and up later and made another fine supper from some Schwan's meal stuff and her own concoctions. It was a pasta thing and really good along with a salad. We then just vegged and watched some TV. I spent a lot of Wednesday working on the church Constitution things and then on some ideas for the Evangelism board if I am elected to that. We can really do a lot if we set our minds to it and walk the walk as well as talk the talk. 

Mom has over done some and not feeling so good this Thursday morning so gave her, her meds and then let her sleep in some more. Checked in the ARMS net and let buddy out and fed him and fed the birds also. The wind is really blowing and the wind chill was -8 but is letting up some. It is winter in Iowa.

Was very lax the last half of 2014 so will try and do better this year with my journaling. New Years Eve I was Elder at church and then had some family games and supper afterwards. Mom was not feeling well so she did not go so my night was ended about 9PM so I could be with her for New Years eve. We made it till about 11PM and then we were off to bed. Mom has a really bad cold or some flu so am really worried about her and if not better by Friday she needs to see the doctor. No improvement for mom so took her to the Doctor and she had a type of flu that has turned into walking Pneumonia and he put her on some very strong antibiotics. Have been watching her very close and getting the meds she needs and she is just mostly in bed and resting. Did not get much posted so will just wait and post this for the next Sunday. Will be using the calendar pictures for each month as the time changes and just the date for the Sunday post that is current. Will change the font color for each week also.
